Can I listen to the recordings while driving?: No. You should be in a safe environment where you can devote your full attention to the course. Certainly not when driving, or in any other potentially hazardous situation.
Do I need to change my beliefs?: Absolutely not. Getting Quiet is concerned with your experience of the world, not with your faith or beliefs. We believe that when you so choose to, by quieting the mind you can experience the world more clearly and directly. A richer experience of life. Actually what you think about life, the universe and everything is outside the scope of the course - it's about your experience when your mind is quiet.
What is meditation? Is Getting Quiet a course on meditation?: Meditation as a word seems to mean different things to different people. If it means to quiet the mind then yes, Getting Quiet is a course on meditation.
What other books/recordings/methods can I use?: Stick with Getting Quiet until you have mastered the art of quieting your mind. The course is deceptively simple, but we really think that it contains everything you need to know.

But carry on with whatever you enjoy doing already. Music is great, Colin currently enjoys listening to the Flaming Lips and Sparklehorse, but he's funny like that. Sports, art and food should be fabulous too.
What should I expect from the course?: Everyone is different, but here's what Colin has to say:

I later began noticing that music became richer and more involving, encounters with friends and family often became more enjoyable and immediate, and I began entering profoundly pleasant states of mind."
